Was held on the 9th July 2010, which we was entered into and lucky enough to reach the Finals of two categories. 

This is a major event in Basildon and its district, and the work put in by the organisers and Judges is immense. I just didn't realise the magnitude and seriousness of it all. 

On the Friday of the awards I drove the four hundred miles back from Le mans in France, where I go every year for the classic car racing. I got home had a quick sleep, went to the awards for 6.30 pm start. 

After the awards, with plenty of celebrations and no alcohol!, I dropped my wife and my mother back home to start the return journey that night back to Le mans, where I was met with champagne at 9.00am the next morning by my Dad, Simon my business partner and some other good friends, now it was time for drinking! 

We returned home on the Monday evening having had a great time both in England and in France, I actually felt like was in two places at once that weekend. 

As you can see a big event held at the Basildon Towngate Theatre that night. We were put right up the back thinking we would be going home without any awards. 

Here, with my wife and my mother with the two awards we won for Business Man of the Year 2010 and the Business to Business Award 2010. 

As you can see very we are delighted and not even one drop of alcohol that night but my wife and mother made up for that!
